Inexplicable
These are
the less obvious, factual and speculated points to back-up their
relationship.
#1 They both
show care and concern for each other.
#2 Close
friends will always argue at some point. It's the natural order of
things.
  
#3 Not
conclusive evidence, but at least Craig McCracken included two of the
best characters in an episode of the Powerpuff Girls.
#4 In
correspondence to the fact that Navi is jealous of Link's relationship
with Zelda, it does seem she'd rather stick up for Saria when Link is
still drooling over Zelda. Great minds DO think alike; I'd stick up for
Saria too (but not before Navi, obviously).
